As a self-proclaimed creative, it’s my daily business to look beyond my own immediate environment and allow my dreams and future visions to rise to the occasion. I feel fortunate to have been exposed to the shifting landscape and rapid change to the digital world. As creatives, we will always be asked to elevate our game and here are my 4 ways of keeping up!

1. Big ideas can come from anywhere—and anyone
The world around us is an innovation lab, and as a creative, you’ll get used to the fact that everyone around you is pitching an idea that could become the next big thing. Today’s world is packed with creative technologists, consultants and business strategists whose days are spent thinking up new ways to create in the fast-moving age of digital transformation.

2. Meet other creatives
It’s so important, even essential, to surround yourself with different creatives. Hang out with people who inspire you and challenge your thoughts, in some ways help form your path. We are influenced by the experiences and the people we meet along our way. It can be hard to meet other creatives, especially if you’re on the go, but when it happens we find incredible connections.

3. Never. Stop. Learning.
Commit to increasing your depth as a creative, while gaining perspective and context about the world around you. This education-based tactic is a big part of how we can apply design thinking to the digital world. If you’re a creative, there will be plenty of times when your general knowledge of the customer experience will inform a breakthrough, while you continually master your craft and utilize your gift to surprise, delight and inspire your clients.

4. Our business has always been about inspiring people
As we create we never realize the number of people watching our work. Whether it’s to our knowledge or not, our work inspires many and we hear about the few. As we continue to produce work and upgrade our skills we gain access to that beautiful connection of speaking with our patrons.

Make sure you’re always keeping up with the changes or better yet become creative that created the next big thing. Alrighty, that’s all folks! With a post that used the word creative SO much, I’ll end with this,

Creators Create Creatively

Until Next Time
